Do you accept PayPal?
Due to multiple privacy violating policies of unregulated PayPal, we do not accept PayPal payments.
This is a simple business decision. We process through the top four credit card companies. PayPal and other credit card companies did not make the cut.
Despite the self generated publicity, PayPal is one of the smallest companies; "To put matters in perspective, if PayPal can capture just 1% of the point-of-sale market, it would double PayPal's entire business." www.dailyfinance.com/2013/05/02/wal-mart-shows-no-love-to-paypal/.
Total Payment Volume:
Visa - $6,029 billion
MasterCard - $3,249 billion
American Express - $822 billion
Discover - $122 billion
PayPal - $78 billion (PayPal processes through MasterCard)
As Walmart put it:
"Walmart does not accept PayPal in-store. The added complexity at the point of sale does not justify acceptance of PayPal" Randy Hargrove, Walmart spokesman. www.businessinsider.com/wal-mart-not-interested-in-paypal-2013-4
Also in regards to consumer protection:
For example one of the credit cards we accept, Visa, a regulated and licensed major credit card company, has an "incidence of fraud" rate of less than 0.03%. Versus PayPal's fraud rate of 0.3%.
Consider that fact the next time you see PayPal advertise, "the safer, easier way."
